Welcome to the Reformer Room: we’re bringing this much loved and traditional Pilates apparatus home with a robust library of workouts designed to be completed on your personal-apparatus, or to go with you to a Studio – it’s movement on your terms!
TSN Reformer Pilates is open to all skill levels and capabilities: our classes range from moderate to high intensity and have a focus on flow, cardio, strength, flexibility, athleticism, and coordination.
But let’s start at the very beginning:
What exactly is, “Reformer Pilates”?
The Reformer is an original piece of Pilates apparatus that uses springs and a pulley system to create variable resistance and challenge. One of the great many things we love about this apparatus is that it is a supportive and accessible machine, capable of working every type of body, ability and goal. It is also – quite simply - a highly effective and efficient way to exercise!
One of the many things we love about the Reformer is the diversity of challenge we can create, not only within the repertoire (system of exercises), but by getting creative with variation of movement, and incorporating props to deliver dynamic experiences that also check the boxes on performance and conditioning goals!
Note: keep your small apparatus/props handy! E.g. Pilates Ball, resistance bands, Pilates/Magic Circle, hand weights.
What about hardware?
TSN Teachers use Balanced Body Allegro 2 Reformers in our online content: however, when it comes to load and technique we break down the instruction in a way that makes sense for most (if not all) at-home and Studio hardware on the market today.

Who can do Reformer Pilates on TSN?
Short answer: anyone with access to a Reformer!
If you are new to the format, is not uncommon to feel intimidated when faced by the hardware, but you should be rest assured that with correct and safe instruction the apparatus is easy to use and legitimately accessible for all fitness levels. There is nothing to fear!
All TSN Reformer classes are open to beginners and our Teachers will help you become familiar with the machine and build a solid foundation upon which to progress your practice! (A Reformer Skills category will be launching soon – watch this space.)
Our Reformer classes are also ideal for Pilates or Movement Teachers hungry for some self-mastery, on their own time and terms! You can take TSN with you to the Studio, or move your body from the comfort of home.
All classes are packaged up into digestible and useful blocks: 15-minutes (express: great for warm-up!), 30-minutes, and 45-minutes, so there’s a workout for any mood and time budget!

Strong and dynamic, this class is designed, as the name suggests, for power! Strengthen and tone your entire body. Deep core activation, strengthen and sculpt, and enhance your flexibility and postural awareness in the process. Sweat guaranteed.
Reformer Pilates with plyometric and cardio layers. It is an unapologetically strong and efficient workout. With the Jumpboard attachment we can level-up on form, activation, control, challenge and body awareness. It’s pure work, featuring small props and a whole lot of fun. Cardio endorphins and sweat guaranteed.
